Karen Hutt performs and produces new work for
Tonal. As a percussionist she has played with many orchestras and ensembles
throughout the world.'Listening to
her we are enthralled by the vivid variety of sounds, styles and techniques
that she brings to this ages-old yet ultra-modern musical discipline, and
she infuses her performances with a freshness, lightness and integrity that
are rare in many other young musicians. Moreover Karen adds to these
qualities a drama and excitement in her playing that exemplify the
percussive art and take it to new heights, and we see and hear virtuosity
that leaves us astonished' David
Corkhill - principle of The Philharmonia
